It is no surprise that everyone knows about my deep interest and passion for skateboarding. I remember the first time I ever picked up a deck in ‘88. My mom bought me a black fiberglass Roller Derby deck with a giant fly with a skull for a head as the graphic. I remember cruising around the block, like I was Rodney Mullin in “Gleaming The Cube” lol!!!! When I got to high school my love for skating took a back seat to my varsity athletic career. I later seriously picked it back up my freshman year in college…weird huh. I would say I have been skating off and on for about 8 years now. But it wasn’t til recently when I was walking to my car and saw my deck laying idle in the garage, I was like…”dang I miss skating.” So I lost 25lbs via P90x, and got blessed by my lil sister with a new deck and wheels as a gift!! Now I am ready to shred this season! Here is a photo-blog of my newly installed set-up. Shouts out to Studio for the wheels and deck and Arockalypse for my bearings. FLY OR DIE.

I think Jesus would be pretty stoked on my new set-up and sticker selection. This takes me back when I used to build street parks for the skate-heads in the parking lot of the churches in KC and East OKC. Those sessions were mad fresh. Me and the big homey Rocky Sheaffer are gonna bring it back!!!

In the words of the homey, Thug Nasty, “SKATE LIFE.” See you in the streets fam. I am ready to get back on the deck and increase the GNAR factor in my life again.
