I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Frozen Yogurt?
Wednesday, April 7th, 2010Got a call from my friend Taylor today asking me if I wanted to get icecream (Frozen Yogurt, same thing to me). OF COURSE I WANT ICECREAM. We decided to go to a new spot that open called Peachwave. I was told Peachwave is under the same ownership as Orangetree, which was the premier frozen yogurt hotspot in Oklahoma. There’s tons of new places popping up everywhere and it’s hard to choose which one to go to. I just stick to what was here first and try to stay away from the imitators.
When you walk into Peachwave, you’re overwhelmed with bright colors and a clean modern interior. I guess this is supposed to make it feel “trendy” or something? I don’t get it. They say bright colors put people in better moods. Personally, if this was my ice cream place I would’ve have everything black. Even the napkins! But then I’m sure it would turn into a Goth-kid hot spot or something.
Oh, did I mention we were joined by a new friend today?! His name is Jackson, he just turned 3… and no it’s not Taylor’s kid. She’s his babysitter.
Here was the choices of frozen yogurt to choose from: Original Tart, Strawberry, Cheese Cake, Mango, Pomegranate, Blueberry, Chocolate, Coconut, Peach, Banana, Pistachio Almond, Cherry, Peanut Butter, Coffee, Green Apple, Cookie’N Cream, Green Tea, Tiramisu, Taro.
After you pick your frozen yogurt, you’re given a huge variety of fresh fruits, nuts, and candies to add as toppings. Being a super indecisive person, it took me a second to figure out the perfect combination.
I decided to get Cookies and Cream Ice Cream with Brownie Bites, Captain Crunch, Fruity Pepples, and Marshmellows. I call that the big kid combo.
SUGAR RUSH!!!!!
