I normally do not jump on J’s unless they are styles 1-6, or the 8s (I love the 8s in purple). When I heard the Air Jordan 6s were coming out on January 23rd, 2010, I immediately began to stack my dough. This particular Jordan model holds a special place in my heart and mind. In the mid 90s I was a basketball junkie. Some say I had a pretty good chance to go to the next level before my season-ending injuries, my high school senior year in ‘96. I remember traveling all over the Midwest in ‘92 hooping with my AAU team, The KC Panthers. We actually had the Black Panther icon on our uniforms, I know mad militant right…lol. Anyways, I had the illest J’s-the 6s…memories, sweet memories. Shouts out to the manager at Finish Line at Quail Springs Mall for holding my pair.

This manager takes care of his customers! He actually water proofed everyone’s Js for free!! Customer service at its finest!!!!!!

On Halloween we invaded BLUE 7, which is basically OKC’s version of Urban Outfitters. The day was full of friends, sneakers, Reese’s Cups, and live djing by the homey Jafar. Thanks to everyone that came out!!!!

Two weeks ago my wife, daughter and I took a trip back to KC to chill with family and friends. So I decided to knock out three birds with one trip. Vacation, rap a show, and drop off Studio’s GRP FLY order. The scene out in KC has been really supportive. It was super dope to see how my man Dillon, shop owner, has really progressed the shop. They were fully stocked with the illest brands and kicks. The dopest part about this in-store chill session was that my great friend Chico was in town from LA. Later that day I chilled with the homey Thugnasty downtown, but forgot to pack the SLR (www.fail.com/grpfly)!

The shop comes equipped with their own mini ramp. Bawse!!!!!!

This is the homey Dillon, he runs the shop and shreds every park in KC. He is also in our Volume 2 lookbook.

The Jordan 60+ sneakers were first released in a black, red and white colorway. These original colors were obviously to honor one of the game’s greats in the colors of the team he won numerous rings with, the Chicago Bulls. Now the Jordan Brand is back with its latest colorway offering in Detroit Pistons colors. The Detroit Pistons were one of the teams that MJ dropped 60 or more points on, so it’s only appropriate that the latest 60+ Jordans are adorned in black, blue, grey and red. Materials used in the shoe include black nubuck and patent leather. The Jordan 60+ “Detroit Pistons” are expected in stores for this holiday season, December 2009.

Since we are setting up a booth at this year’s Kixpo, I felt that it was only right to show off my small sneaker collection, I am a Nike Force classic junkie…(Dunks, Court Forces, AF1 Lo’s), don’t get me wrong, if I see some joints I like I will rock’em. To kick off the new year in 2010, Air Jordan will release one of its most sought after models of all time, the Air Jordan VI Infrared. The weapon of choice as Jordan and the Bulls captured MJ’s first of many championship titiles, the shoe’s only previous retro was in 2000. With the January, 2010 release date comes a suggested retail price of $150 USD.
