Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009Eric Kosten x Sneaker Sponsor
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009Eric Koston let’s the people know that he STILL doesn’t have a shoe sponsor (or he’s just trying to keep it on the low). @ 0:53 seconds in this video you can see how he camouflages his kicks so the public can’t see what he’s rocking. Too bad that camouflage technique is no good for skating…
Stealing Stars x Mes x Fresherthan
Monday, June 1st, 2009Word Mes is the homey!!!!!!!
After a solid year without an official release, Mes the Jive Turkey returns to the music scene with the help of DJ Fishr Pryce. Their latest mixtape, Stealing Stars, is an action packed mix of brand new songs over (mostly) stolen beats. After sitting and waiting for his producer friends to send him some beats, Mes decided it was taking too long and his ambitions couldn’t allow him to wait any longer. He decided to steal beats from his friends and a few other well known producers in order to create a project that he could be proud of. Knowing that Fishr is always a worthy accomplice in such shenanigans, the two began putting together a list of stolen music and making it their own. This isn’t your normal jacking for beats kinda project, though. Each song becomes something brand new and you can feel the time and effort put into the recreation. This isn’t just taking an already top 40 song and trying to make it better (everyone already loves Jay-Z’s verse, why would you try to rap over his song?). Producers such as PicnicTyme, Rob Viktum, Jake One, S1 & The ARE might be a little upset to find their music has been jacked, but we think they will understand. Now the people who make a few angry guest appearances ranting about the stolen items Mes & Fishr have made off with in the past, that’s a different story.
