Me and the homey Jabee linked up a couple weeks ago to talk business about a top-secret creative project we are working on. We were in the hunt for some creative spaces here in Oklahoma City. In our quest for dopeness, we stumbled upon the new gallery space for IAO (Individual Artists of Oklahoma) downtown, check the photography of Oklahoma legend L. Diane Jackson. Vernon - FLY OR DIE

Here is a sneak peek for our Volume 3 drop aka “The Cadet League” line.  Our brand is based on the pursuit of individuals living out their dreams to reach a higher destination in life… FLY OR DIE! Whew!!!! That was deep! With that said, we introduce our new character, “The Cadet”. We have been working very hard  on this line for about 8 months (a peak at the initial sketches of “The Cadet” next week). We wanted to stay with our clean/simplistic design ethic. We get tired of busy shirts…ya dig. Of course we have secret drops for Black Friday and the winter season so stay close.  Volume 3 also comes with our new custom snap-back (seen here), and GRP FLY Goodwood Pieces (pre-orders coming soon). We are working with the local legend, Travis Clancy for the actual lookbook, and will be launching a couple of video shorts with Baleout Photos. A special launch party at a dope location in OKC  will drop this fall, so don’t sleep fam!!!!

All tees are 100% ringspun cotton. Prints are slapped on each tee like smooth butter. These tees are luxury status. We really took time to make sure the quality of our new tees were dialed in. This season we introduce screen-printed neck tags (no more neck irritation), and our signature GRP FLY imprint on back neck of each tee.

FLY OR DIE CADET/ATHLETIC GREY

This is our first athletic grey tee. Every volume will have a FLY OR DIE design variation. Don’t you feel so gangster when you wear this tee in public?? Shout out to all our supporters that get interrogated by the airport authorities when they wear our FLY OR DIE tees in the airport…lol!!!!!

WET PAINT/BLACK, RED

This design is all about reppin’ the brand. You can rock this during your favorite nightlife festivities, at the skate park riding switch, or on stage rockin mics (did I just say that…). This tee will hold you down with style and power. GRP FLY!!!!!

CADET LEAGUE/WHITE, YELLOW

This Cadet is insane! Get used to this dude being around. We wanted to design a tee with some color so the people can see you shining in the streets…STREEEEEEEEEEEEETS!!!! THE CADET LEAGUE IS HERE!!!!!!

Any tee design containing the word “GNAR”… is a definite purchase-nuff said.

STARTERS/PURPLE

Growing up in the 90’s, I was always hustling to rock some starter gear. So this volume we put our own personal twist on those iconic designs. Shout out to the homey Chris Cao for the dope Barney colorway lol!!!!

LIMITED EDITION OG CADET/BLACK

I aint’ gonna front, I designed this tee to go with my AJ6s (my favorite pair of kiks). The OG character tees are one of our best selling tees. We will be hosting a special event for this tee, so stay close. A special surprise will come with this tee, so you do not want to sleep on this drop! These will go very quick!

I was looking for the new full Kanye West, Power video and found this lol!!!! This had me rolling. I did not realize real G’s got down on the harmonica like this. Bad New Brown is a beast!!!!!

Had a major chill session (planning for 2011) with the big homey Thug Nasty last month. We dialogued about life, night life, sneakers, and of course skating. I also found out that he just copped a brand new Dodge Charger, I guess that Apple Store Money got him on beastmode status. Fly Or Die. The 90’s heavily influences our brand, I was out picking up some books to expand my creative process and business mind, while I was shopping I ran across a dope record from my youthful days…”The Boys”, these dudes were killing stuff when I was in junior high. I started smiling because the cover of this album resembles my gear back then exactly to the “T”. Peep the vid… (Dail it, Diaaaaaaallll ITTTT!!!)

Man, I recently took a quick get-away trip to Kansas City (my second home). It was dope clearing my head for a couple of days. As many of you know I am big HTC EVO supporter, don’t get it twisted I am down for the iPhone 4 and all things Apple. But you gotta give it to Android for making a sick phone. Check out these pics I took with my 8mega-pixel DROID phone camera… just a little something to hold me over until I get my Canon 7d in couple of months. FLY OR DIE.

I was really inspired by this story. I once heard an old proverb, “Never despise small beginnings”. Definitely Cudi has come a long way from just stocking shelves at BAPE in New York. This video piece was shot really well. LIVE YOUR DREAMS. FLY OR DIE.
